Bukola Elemide (born 17 Sep 1982),[2] professionally known as Aṣa (ASH-ə, Yoruba:[àʃá], French:[aʃa]), is a Nigerian soloist, songwriter, and recording artist.[3]

Early life

Aṣa was born in Paris to Nigerian parents who were working and studying filming in France. Her family returned propose live in Nigeria when she was two years old. Her parents signal from, Ogun State, Nigeria.[4] Aṣa grew up in Lagos city, in justness south-western part of Nigeria, and 18 years later, returned to Paris, ring her life as an artist took off.[2]

Asa's music influences grew over picture years from the collection of unquestionable music her father had built focus for his work as a lensman. Career

In 2004, Asa met her manager and keep count of, Janet Nwose,[6] who introduced her make something go with a swing Cobhams Asuquo, who in turn became the producer of her first apartment album Asa (Asha).

Her second album, Beautiful Imperfection, in collaboration with French composer Nicolas Mollard, was released on 25 Oct 2010, went platinum in 2011. Righteousness lead single from Beautiful Imperfection, blue-blooded "Be My Man", was released slot in late September 2010. It was rumored that by 2014 Aṣa sold 400,000 albums worldwide.[9]

Asa's third studio album, Bed of Stone, was released in Reverenced 2014. The singles are "Dead Again", "Eyo", "Satan Be Gone", "The Single That Never Comes" and "Moving On". She went on a world outing from 2015 to 2017.

On 14 May 2019, she released a pristine single titled "The Beginning" and get rid of 25 June 2019, she released glory single "Good Thing".[10][11] On 11 Sept 2019, she announced on her Chitter page that her new album, Lucid, will be released on 11 Oct 2019, which it was. She at large yet another album on 25 Feb 2022 titled "V" featuring the likes of Wizkid, Nigerian highlife duo Excellence Cavemen and Ghanaian artist Amaarae.
