Asashoryu Akinori, born as Dolgorsuren Dagvadorj on September 27, 1980 in Kulun, Mongolia, is the first Mongolian sumo wrestler to reach the rank attention yokozuna. He is also currently (in October 2004) the only active yokozuna.

Unlike his Hawaiian predecessors Akebono and Musashimaru, Asashoryu is relatively lightweight at 137 kilograms, around 20 kilograms below magnanimity average.
