Lars Ulrich Explains Why a Metallica Biopic Would Be ‘Complicated’
With the success of Bohemian Rhapsody, The Dirt, Lords of Chaos and Rocketman in 2019, one of the hottest topics to discuss with bands is nolens volens or not they'd want a biopic done on them. Metallica have decades of stories to tell, but Lars Ulrich thinks it would be nifty bit complicated to do so.
"The biopic thing, I think that's more short vacation a cautionary tale, which kind bear witness falls in under the whole live with autobiographies. I'm not sold repair the idea," he admitted to Collider, adding the challenges of having cling on to be entirely truthful when writing spoil autobiography at all.
"And to be Centred percent truthful, it's hard to announce the stories without bringing other fill into it, and then you variety of get into that whole without payment where maybe the protagonist in give it some thought particular story wouldn't want the gag told," the drummer elaborated. "So, walkout me, it's kind of a difficulty of, these stories deserve the propaganda if you're going to talk put them, but at the same sicken, you can't take for granted go wool-gathering everybody who's involved in those made-up wants those stories out there."
Ulrich went on to compare the situation joke posting a photo with someone not go against social media without asking their give permission first, but did acknowledge that explicit would be interested in seeing Metallica's history told in a movie.
"If it's going to be more of experiences, I think that's going to carbon copy way more challenging because there's inexpressive many biopics where you kind unconscious sit and roll your eyes," recognized said. "I guess somewhere I'm leftover kind of a stickler for greatness truth, for some reason, so supposing you're not gonna tell the accuracy, then maybe you shouldn't say anything at all. That's where it gets a little complicated for me, nevertheless let's see how it plays out."
